Just a few snippets....
When Chip and I were married, one of the first differences we noticed about how we grew up was the state of the Christmas tree. Chip's family had fake; mine had real. As it mattered to me, and not really to him, we decided that we would do real until we were too old to manage it....which means until I don't recognize trees anymore! :) Anyway, last year I was thrilled to find that the Boy Scouts sold real trees. To my dismay, I just found out that the Boy Scouts in Seoul sold real trees...we are not so fortunate down here. As I can't see asking Chip to buy a tree in Seoul and drive it five hours or so South - imagine the Koreans' faces - I had to face facts and buy a plastic tree. The one bonus is a decorating tip I read in a magazine. I can have my real tree when we return to the States and use the fake one to experiment in decorating!
Teri has recently pulled two of her loose teeth out...she is very proud. :)
We have thought about picking out a dog for a pet once we get back to the States. A Captain was due to travel home, when he discovered the home he had worked out for his dog was not going to work. So he was looking for a home for his six month black Lab. We seriously considered taking it in. The plus side was that the pup was housebroken and came with assorted stuff. The downside was that this pup was already bigger than Joe and pretty rambunctious. The Captain found a home before we had to give a decision, so it didn't happen. The good thing is that we are reconsidering when we want to look for a dog. If we wait until we get back to States, I may miss out as I will most likely be in the sand box in some form or fashion. It at least gets us talking.
